As part of a final project focused on real-world eCommerce and production design, I created a modular brand page for Ollie because I admire their visual identity and have personal experience with their products. The goal was to simulate agency-style work for retailer platforms like Amazon or Walmart.
I referenced the work of Strand Studio, which designed Ollie’s current brand, to guide the look and feel of the creative. The must-haves of the assignment were to source and retouch imagery to fit the brand’s color palette, edit imagery to meet module specs, manage copy placement and typography, create character styles for headlines, subheadings, and CTAs aligned with brand specs, and prepare assets for export with size limits, color compliance, and file naming conventions as outlined in the course requirements.
To establish a visual hierarchy, I grouped SKU modules with appropriate scaling, padding, and alignment. Images were edited to ensure visual consistency within each row of modules.
Advanced editing techniques were used to bring a limited asset library up to industry standard. These included compositing techniques, color correction, color changes, and image enhancement/repair.
